Can my customers come back and find their itineraries and bookings?

  For now, they simply contact the Travel Partner (hotel, cruise line, vacation company, etc.) listed on their e-mail confirmation either by telephone or through the Travel Partner’s own website. Confirmation numbers and other details on this form usually give access to Travel Partners’ online itineraries and possible even additional travel options (shore excursions, seat selection, etc.). How do customers make changes and cancellations?

  For security reasons and to keep customers from accidentally canceling important travel arrangements, Travel Partners (hotels, cruise lines, etc.) do not usually make Cancellations possible through online booking engines. How to cancel depends on the Travel Partner and the type of travel booked. Customers should simply follow the instructions always included in the email confirmation. If a customer contacts you, make sure you take the necessary steps for them  immediately , by either contacting the Travel Partner, or asking for help from  CustomerService@InteleTravel.com . Cancellation policies and any penalties vary by Travel Partner and are always disclosed prior to purchase, and listed on all confirmations.

Car Bookings

  With all of our exciting new carl options, please ensure that you carefully read the book details and the cancellation policies for each carl booking.  Some bookings will be book now/pay later.  Some bookings will be book/now pay now refundable, and some may be book now/pay now nonrefundable.  All may have cancellation penalties so it is also imperative to check for understanding of each property of their cancellation penalties. 

Can Ireland agents sell in the UK?

  As UK air and packages require ATOL protection, which is not available (or applicable) in Ireland, agents are not permitted to sell to UK residents. This would be viewed as a violation of Irish law.

Can UK and Ireland Agents sell in overseas territories?

  Agents can only sell within their own geographical sales territory. Many suppliers have different fares in each country, different rules that are country-specific and have contracts in place which legally set out the terms of business. Countries too will vary in their laws and each country must respect the rules of engagement. Selling in overseas territories would be viewed as a violation of our supplier contract, the ITA contract- and raise concerns with the relevant regulators. The only exception to the rule would be if you have a permanent UK residency, but spend some time overseas ( such as Summer months etc).

Can I sell to customers in another country?

  While we are a family, each InteleTravel company in each country is a separate legal entity, regulated only within its country and authorized to sell travel only to the citizens of that country. This is the global scheme for the travel industry - no “cross-border” selling. The government of the UK, for example, wants to regulate anyone who sells travel to its citizens, and be able to protect those citizens. Therefore, the UK government does not permit companies or agents from other countries to sell travel to its citizens. This is true of the US, UK, Mexico and most other places. The standard we can use is citizenship, not residency which is subject to change and interpretation. This definition of your authorization to sell is also contained in your written independent contractor agreement which is specifically drawn under the laws of your country of citizenship.   Do not confuse this with what destinations you can sell to your customers. Can UK agents sell in Ireland?

  To sell air tickets or packages in the UK InteleTravel needs to hold an ATOL license for consumer protection; we are also ABTA members and have bonding in place for the sale of non-air packages. Ireland requires all air and packages to be licensed by the Commission for Aviation Regulation (CAR), InteleTravel UK Ltd is licensed by CAR, we are displayed on their register and we have insolvency protection in place. Therefore, a UK agent MAY sell to residents in Ireland.
